Pastor Jeff Robinson

I am honored to be pastor of Rocky Mount Baptist Church! Jesus said, “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). Jesus later said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20). If we take Jesus’ words at face value, it seems that the intent of Jesus’ life and ministry was that of redemption. When one becomes a follower of Jesus they are to be exactly that; a follower and imitator of Jesus. Once we understand that Jesus’ purpose was to reconcile the world back to God (2 Corinthians 5:17-19), in essence, to satisfy the wrath of God and bridge the separation caused by humanity’s sin, then our purpose comes into clearer focus: pour out our lives spreading the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

If we follow Jesus then we must bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that those who are lost can be saved. Let’s get to work!

P.S. Check out my website for resources on evangelism and apologetics. God bless!
